To celebrate International Women’s Rights Day, members of the CTM gathered together for a moment of discussion and reflection dedicated to gender equality in science.
The event opened with a presentation by Dr. Frédérique Végran, who shared an insightful overview of gender equality within our research center and in academia, highlighting the importance of understanding where we stand and where we need to go.
We then heard from Dr. Mélanie Bruchard and Dr. Tony Jourdan. Through their complementary “My Life in Science” perspectives, they shared their career paths and reflected on how gender can influence professional trajectories in academia and research.
Beyond the presentations, the Q&A session created a valuable space for dialogue and collective reflection. It also reminded us that advancing gender equality is a shared responsibility that concerns all of us, regardless of our roles and gender.
Many thanks to the organizers and speakers for initiating this important conversation and to everyone who participated and contributed.
